What are the different types of encounter tabs I can see?

Within AutoScribe, the Encounters section is divided into two main tabs:

  • Active Encounters Tab

  • Submitted Encounters Tab

Accessing the Encounters Page

From the Main Page, simply select “Encounters” to open your list of encounters.

Active Tab

When you open Encounters, you’ll automatically land on the Active tab.
This is where all encounters that have been completed but are still available for editing will appear.

To edit an encounter:

  1. Select the encounter you’d like to edit.

  2. Click the “Edit Encounter” button (you might need to scroll after a busy clinic day to find it).

  3. You’ll be redirected to the encounter page, where you can:

    • Edit the note

    • Change the template

    • Generate a Patient Handout

Submitted Tab

If you’d like to review notes you’ve already submitted, or retrieve a copy of a completed note, switch to the Submitted Tab (located at the top-right of the screen).

In this section, you can:

  • View all previously submitted notes

  • Copy, print, or email the Patient Handout (if it was generated before submission)

Delete Encounter Button

At the bottom of each submitted encounter, you’ll find a “Delete Encounter” button.
This allows you to delete any encounter if needed — simply click it to remove the selected record.
